The Area Agency on Aging is a service of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), of which the Town of Bow Mar is a member. The organization plans and coordinates various services available to older adults. DRCOG also assesses the needs of older residents and outlines strategies to meet them through its Area Plan on Aging.

Arapahoe County Senior Resources Division:
Arapahoe County is home to more than 67,000 residents over the age of 60. The Senior Resources Division works with local governments and organizations to offer useful services and assist seniors in maintaining a healthy, active and independent life.
The Senior Resources Division offers the following programs:
- Chore Services and Homemaker Programs provide eligible seniors with free, light housekeeping and/or assistance with heavier chores.
- First Ride Senior Transportation provides transportation in wheelchair-accessible vehicles to medical appointments, senior dining centers, grocery stores and food banks.
- Veterans Service Office assists veterans and their dependents with filing for VA benefits.
Additional County Services:
- Adult Protection investigates reports of abuse, neglect or financial exploitation of seniors or at-risk adults and provides protective services.
- Arapahoe / Douglas Works! Workforce Center offers job-search assistance and training for mature job-seekers.
- Food, Financial and Medical Benefits for low-income seniors can include food assistance, Old Age Pension, Medicaid, Long-Term Care and many other benefits.
